Amsterdam Experimental Film Festival

NL Op 5, 6 en 7 maart zal alweer de zesde editie van Atrabilious Amsterdam Experimental Film Festival plaatsvinden; een internationaal filmfestival met meer dan 70 korte experimentele films van 25 verschillende filmmakers. Het festival heeft in de afgelopen jaren een cultstatus gekregen binnen het aanbod van experimentele film. Dit jaar met een radicale en poëtische programmering samengesteld door de Zapruder Art Movement, en in samenwerking met Istanbul International Experimental Film Festival.

Op alle drie de dagen zijn er filmmakers aanwezig voor Q&A's. Op zaterdag 7 maart zal er live experimentele noise-muziek gespeeld worden in de foyer door het duo fffjpg (Libanon/Italie). Daarnaast is er in de foyer een video-installatie te zien van Laurent Grappe, genaamd De boot, waarin hij een jonge afrikaanse vluchteling volgt naar zijn reis door Europa, maar meer nog over waarom hij naar Europa vlucht.


EN On the 5th, 6th and 7th of March the 6th edition of Atrabilious Amsterdam Experimental Film Festival will take place; an international experimental film fest with 26 filmmakers and more than 70 short films. The festival has in recent years gained cult status within the range of experimental film, put together by the Zapruder Art Movement. This year's focus will be on radical and poetical, and the festival will be in collaboration with the Istanbul Experimental Film Festival.

On all three days, filmmakers will be present for Q&As. On Saturday March 7, live experimental noise music will be played in the foyer by the duo fffjpg (Libanon/Italy). In addition, there will be a video installation by Laurent Grappe in the foyer, called The boat, in which he follows a young African refugee on his journey through Europe, but even more it's about why he flees to Europe.
